I think the title and the image are pretty self explanatory.

One of the ideas behind this is, that certain people strive to overcome their fears, you can become friends with whomever you want, you just need a good approach. ;P

I like it how he is holding the teddy :D Nice athmosphere with the blue light and very interesting background (especially the drawings). I have to admit, that I like the monster's face more than the boy's. It's much more expressive. But well, it's a great picture anyway (kinda different), so I wish you luck for the contest :)

I love the way you've captured so many emotions and feeling with this piece - I love the look on both the creature's and teddy bear's face
